South-East Asia Short tours
For those on a limited time scale the main tours have been designed for maximum enjoyment without missing any of the main unavoidable sites or even other sites, though less famous, but still of equal interest. The choice here is rather to select for oneself a geographical area and then to discover what it has to fully offer, rather than to try to see everything in a few days and leave finally only with just a momentary impression rather than an actual experience.
You quickly realize the diversity and wealth of visits and activities that are on offer from each region of this part of the world. That is why Amarita, knowing these places well, prefers to offer tours comprising not more than 2-3 geographical areas at a time.
This formula allows you to optimize your use of time on the spot, because it also limits the maximum time spent in travel. With only 6-8 days available, it is best to have the least number of lengthy transfers in order to avoid reducing the time available for visits nor to be pushed to see sites at full speed or to have to turn down a certain activity. All the more so as some of the routes, particularly by road, can be demanding on time.
In 6 days you will still be able to discover Bangkok and the west of Thailand, towards the Burmese border, with the famous bridge over the river Khwai and the small town of Ampawa that is really and truly Thai in character.
Seven days will be enough for a quick visit to Laos, both North and South: the ancient capital of Louang Prabang, fabulous city lost in time and always bathed in a soft radiance, then onto the south of the country by crossing the Mekong River at a place where the most expansive waterfalls in the whole world can be seen.
Eight days is the bare minimum for a visit to Vietnam, going via the North, the Center and the South: the classic circuit. Or still go from Saigon to Siem Reap by the Mekong River, visiting the eastern provinces of Cambodia, Yangon, Bagan and finally lake Inlé in Burma. Without forgetting of course the winning combination of the tour itself and a stay on the beach, such as for example, the temples of Angkor and Sihanoukville.
